The Constitution and Its History
The Constitution is the governing document of the JCR, laying out a set of rules and procedures which are to be followed to ensure a fair student democracy is maintained. This document was completely reformed from Michaelmas 2014 to Michaelmas 2016 by a Constitutional Reform Committee which re-wrote the document with large scale consultation of the Junior Common Room. The Constitution is not designed to be read in one sitting and instead should be approached in sections. To assist JCR members with this, please consult the “Guide to the Constitution” which has many tips to help you quickly find what you need.
