St John’s is lucky to have a number of members of college staff who students can turn to if they would like help or talk to someone. There are also specific contacts for any health related problems during your time at Oxford.
How can I contact them?
Junior Deans: email@example.com
Brett and Aravind provide welfare support to the junior members of college, and are always happy to listen if you need a sympathetic ear. Pop in during office hours (Monday, Wednesday , Friday, 5:30 – 6pm at 15 St. Giles) or email if you need a chat. They also attend to lesser disciplinary matters, and oversee room bookings.
College Counsellor: Denise Barulis (07963 131460 or firstname.lastname@example.org)
St John’s is lucky enough to have our own counsellor, Denise. If you would like to see Denise about yourself, send her an email at the above address. Denise works on Tuesdays and, unless the matter is urgent, will arrange to see you in St Giles House, 16 St Giles on a Tuesday. (You find her by pressing the bell marked ‘Michael Riordan’ on the list on the side gate and then she will come down to meet you.)
College Chaplain: Rev Dr Elizabeth MacFarlane (01865 277351, F1 ???
The Chaplain is there to support all students, whether religious or not. She will always see you within 24 hours during term time and can often be found in her room in front quad. She is concerned with all aspects of well-being, not simply spiritual matters, and can be consulted in confidence.
Careers Liason: Anne Dutton – email@example.com. Contact for any information on careers, job applications, CVs and also getting recognised and tested for disabilites (dyslexia etc)

Should you feel too ill to leave your room, you can send a message via friends or your scout, or leave a message in the lodge and the nurse will arrange to visit you.
