St John’s is lucky to have a number of members of college staff who students can turn to if they would like help or talk to someone. There are also specific contacts for any health related problems during your time at Oxford.
How can I contact them?
Junior Deans: [email protected]
Brett and Aravind provide welfare support to the junior members of college, and are always happy to listen if you need a sympathetic ear. Pop in during office hours (Monday, Wednesday , Friday, 5:30 – 6pm at 15 St. Giles) or email if you need a chat. They also attend to lesser disciplinary matters, and oversee room bookings.
College Counsellor: Denise Barulis (07963 131460 or [email protected])
St John’s is lucky enough to have our own counsellor, Denise. If you would like to see Denise about yourself, send her an email at the above address. Denise works on Tuesdays and, unless the matter is urgent, will arrange to see you in St Giles House, 16 St Giles on a Tuesday. (You find her by pressing the bell marked ‘Michael Riordan’ on the list on the side gate and then she will come down to meet you.)
